During a chiropractic adjustment you’re likely to hear your joints make a “crack” or “pop” sound which is the release of gas, specifically the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. This audible release of gas, also known as joint cavitation, is what releases the pressure in your joints. When pressure builds up it can create subluxations which jams up the communications channels of your nervous system.
