Why Should I Drink Water After a Chiropractic Adjustment?

During a chiropractic adjustment you’re likely to hear your joints make a “crack” or “pop” sound which is the release of gas, specifically the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. This audible release of gas, also known as joint cavitation, is what releases the pressure in your joints. When pressure builds up it can create subluxations which jams up the communications channels of your nervous system. After the pressure built up in your joints is released your body enters a healing process and it tries to re-align itself to achieve a state of homeostasis. Basically, a chiropractic adjustment helps remove blockades so that your body can do its job!

Why Is Water Important After My Chiropractic Adjustment?
Once your body is properly aligned and tension is released then your body more capable of letting go of any toxic buildup caused by the blockade of tension. Drinking water helps flush out these toxins and reduce the severity of any unpleasant side effects from the adjustment. Keeping yourself hydrated in general is important for proper digestive and kidney function and removing toxins and waste you’re your body.

At Your Sanctuary for Healing, we have a holistic approach to improving health and promoting personal wellness.

The Benefits of Meditation and Prayer

Want to achieve maximum health? Along with eating right and exercise, regular prayer and meditation has been shown in numerous scientific studies to be an important factor in living longer and staying healthy.

To achieve a sense of peace from everyday stress and find peace in your life, you can turn to the gift of prayer and meditation.

There are many benefits to meditation and prayer:

1. Stress reduction. Both meditation and prayer are wonderful for reducing stress. You’ll find that it helps you learn how to get away from the worries of life to a more peaceful state of mind.

• Just 15 minutes a day can make a huge difference by bringing peace and relaxation to your body and mind. A few minutes each day isn’t much, considering that the positive effects will last hours.

2. Improved health. Many studies have proven that prayer and meditation foster vibrant health. Usually these health benefits, such as lower blood pressure and decreased risk of heart disease, occur because of the lowered stress levels.

• Physical problems are often a symptom of turmoil on the inside and prayer and meditation can help to overcome that turmoil.

3. Better control over your thoughts. Having negative thoughts from time to time is part of being human. Many people who are stressed don’t believe they’re able to control what they think. The stress mounts, tempers flair, and before long arguments ensue.

However, by bringing prayer and meditation into your life, it’s possible to control your thoughts and stop negative thinking as soon as it happens. This helps keep your mind at peace.

4. Happiness. Both peace of mind and happiness are true benefits of meditation and prayer. Everyone is seeking happiness in their lives, and when you’re able to find peace of mind through prayer and meditation, you’re also welcoming happiness into your life.

By spending some time in personal reflection, you’ll gain a greater wisdom of your mission in this life, and you’ll be better able to appreciate all that you’ve been given, both good and bad. Meditation and prayer help banish negative thoughts that threaten your peace of mind.

5. Better concentration. As you pray and meditate, you welcome peace and tranquility into your mind, which then affects how you live your life. When you alleviate the stresses in your life, you’re better able to concentrate on the things that are important, such as family or work.
Come together to cultivate the practices of meditation and prayer in a supportive small group setting. Explore and practice a variety of meditation techniques and share in prayer. This group is open to individuals from all walks of life and all experience levels.

What is Nutrition Response Testing?

Nutrition Response Testing is a tried and true method of finding nutritional deficiencies in the body.
It is important to understand what Nutrition Response Testing is and appreciate how it works for it to be a successful part of your holistic healthcare plan. Otherwise, you are less likely to follow through with the actions needed to get well. You are more likely to experience the benefits you seek if you can commit to following through with the findings of your Nutrition Response Testing.

So What Is It Really?

Imagine a person standing in front of you who appears to be under no visible stress. Put a little pressure with your hand on their stressed-out heart while pushing on their outstretched arm and the arm will go weak. Why, because her body knows that it is more important to save her heart than her arm!

The body has the potential to fully repair anything for itself, given the right nutrients and care.

Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body in order to determine the root cause of ill health. It uses muscle strength testing to communicate with the body’s own innate intelligence to evaluate the body’s response to a broad variety of substances that may be affecting health and function. Analysis involves testing organs, glands, joints, muscles, etc., to determine your body’s neurological reflexes. These reflexes are the body’s way of telling us what and how the nervous system is doing.

The body responds to these procedures reliably and consistently. This feedback is so precise that it opens the door to a safe and lasting recovery, even in cases where everything else has failed.

Who Can Nutrition Response Testing Help?
  1. Someone with one or more health conditions that have become chronic.
  2. Someone who has tried conventional medicine or even alternative practitioners without seeing or feeling an improvement in their health.
  3. Someone who has experienced a negative impact in their personal life, in relationships with their spouse or children, at their job, and/or in personal finances as a result of health issues.
  4. Someone afraid that in time their health issues are not going to get better and will probably continue to worsen unless effective changes are made.
  5. Someone diagnosed with gut issues, autoimmune disease, food sensitivities, allergies, eczema, heart conditions...any chronic illness.

Holistic Healing and Energy Medicine Near Me

Holistic health is a word that reminds us that we often separate health in three categories; physical health, mental health, and spiritual health. When we see health in these separate categories we are already forgetting the holistic picture. Healing wisdom teaches us that personal health is one thing. Holistic health encompasses all health.

Then what is holistic healing? Healing has many definitions, but the simplest one is working towards a balanced state. When all of your body, thoughts, and actions are in balance you are in a healthy state. Holistic healing looks at the big picture and works toward that balance.

Energy medicine, also known as energy therapy, energy healing, or spiritual healing, can come in many forms. Some energy medicine is hands-off like most Reiki healing. Other forms of energy medicine are hands-on like massage therapy. Some forms of energy medicine can be done distantly.

At Your Sanctuary for Healing we have two healers who together practice Chiropractic Care, Massage Therapy, Reiki, Nutrition, Fitness, and Teaching.

Dr. Bradley Craig D.C., C.R.M
Dr. Craig is a holistic healer providing massage therapy, nutritional and herbal counseling, athletic training, Nutrition Response Testing, Reiki and Energy Medicine along with a variety of chiropractic services to his patients.

Patty Craig M.Ed., L.M.T., C.R.M.
Patty Craig is a Holy Fire Karuna Reiki Master & Teacher. She savors the opportunity to help others through holistic bodywork and continues to enjoy empowering others through teaching Reiki and gentle fitness classes.

If you would like to start your holistic healing process click to schedule an appointment now.
